KMA is a Bengaluru-based association where those who run organisations and those who teach management sit in the same circle, and learn from each other.
01 / Our story
Registered under the Co-operative Societies Act
01 Founded
It began with a registration and a belief.
KMA was registered in 2015 under the Co-operative Societies Act, with Prof. V R Ravikumar as its Founder President. The idea was plain: management is learned best when practitioners and teachers share one table.
02 Purpose
One platform for both sides of management.
People who run companies and people who teach management rarely get to compare notes. KMA gives them a single platform to exchange knowledge on new technologies and new ways of learning, across HR, marketing, finance, IT, data analytics and AI.
03 Practice
Workshops, conferences, training and lectures.
The Association organises workshops, conferences, training programmes and lectures on subjects that matter, so that every stakeholder, from student to senior executive, can strengthen how they build business.
04 Community
Members from every specialisation and district.
KMA members come from many fields and from districts across Karnataka, and they show up. Memberships are open to institutions and businesses as well as individuals, and students have a place of their own.
05 Structure
Three circles of people, each with a job.
Office bearers run the Association day to day. A committed Managing Committee carries the activities through. A Board of Advisors guides both. You can explore how they fit together a little further down.

The National Education Summit.
On 23 January 2027, KMA brings policy makers, educators and industry leaders to Bengaluru for a one-day national summit on the challenges and reforms facing Indian education.

Founded in 2015 by Prof. V R Ravikumar.
As Founder President, Prof. V R Ravikumar has led KMA since it was registered, and is the Chairman of the National Education Summit 2027.
